About

I’m the founder and director of The Kite Zine, a writing and reentry program serving incarcerated populations across New York City. I hold an MFA from Columbia University and am currently seeking agency for my work of narrative non-fiction based on my experience of coming of age in youth custody.

I’ve served as a keynote speaker and panelist on themes of the carceral state, youth incarceration, and reentry at universities, high schools, and justice organizations across the United States and internationally at TEDx Punta Cana. Through partnerships with NYC government agencies and national nonprofits, I continue to lead writing and reentry workshops for court-impacted youth and adults.
